U501 - Welcome to the Pacific Northwest

Collaborated with a cross-departmental team at the University of Washington to produce, shoot, and edit a collection of over 150 short videos that provide incoming students with a holistic orientation. In 2017, U501 received the Council of Graduate Schools Award for Innovation largely on the strength of the video component of this self-guided, online resource. U501 has proven very successful in its first two academic years; the modules have been accessed nearly 100,000 times, and the videos have over 70,000 views by students in more than 147 countries. This is a sister project to U101 for undergraduate students which, has proven to be very useful for incoming first year students on the Seattle campus.
